Monsters are the patron saints of imperfection

-Guillermo del Toro

Monsters of the world have always captured the interest of artists. Whether real or abstract. As artists and collaborators, we are are no different than our predecessors.

In this particular case, we are finding the monsters that emerge from the collaboration of wood and iron. And with no shortage of fascination, the collection is ever expanding.

Big Boii

Try as we might, this is the best title we could come up with…..

Verdant King

Heavily inspired by the historical tradition of carved faces made up and surrounded by leaves known as “green men” Or “Verdant Ones”

Verdant Elder

These Verdant one Faces would often appear of architecture and furniture as guardians

Verdant Warrior

Instead of leaving these faces as details, we decided to bring them forward

Chasing Monsters 1

A more traditional take on using monsters as decoration, and a less traditional take on collaboration where we create the same design in our own materials

Chasing Monsters 2

The technique used in the creation of this kind of pattern work on metal raise the pattern a certain amount to give it texture. It happens to be called chasing. And thus was born the name of the project!
